Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 August 2026. This policy is written to the strictest common baseline (broadly aligned with the EU/UK GDPR) so it applies consistently to visitors everywhere. If your local law gives you additional rights, those apply too — contact us and we'll honour them.

Who we are

admission-test.com is an independent directory that helps people find official IELTS test centres. We are not IELTS, the British Council, IDP Education, or Cambridge University Press & Assessment, and we are not currently an official affiliate or booking partner of any of them.

What we collect

• Email address — only if you sign up on our Notify Me page. Used solely to send the alert you asked for.
• Approximate location — if we introduce IP-based country detection to pre-fill the search form, this is a coarse, non-precise estimate derived from your IP address. We do not currently request precise GPS location.
• Click and page-view data — aggregate, non-identifying analytics (see Cookies below) to understand which pages are useful.
• Redirect logs — when you click through to an official provider's booking page, we log the timestamp, the centre, the destination URL, and technical request data (IP address, browser user-agent, referring page) for security, abuse-prevention, and — once affiliate agreements are in place — commission verification.

We do not collect payment information. All test bookings and payments happen directly on the official provider's website after you leave admission-test.com.

Why we collect it (legal basis)

• Consent — for the Notify Me email alert, and for any optional analytics cookies (see Cookie Policy).
• Legitimate interest — for redirect logs used to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and (in future) verify referral activity with our partners.

How long we keep it

• Notify Me email addresses: kept while you're subscribed, and automatically removed after 24 months of no interaction, or immediately on unsubscribe.
• Redirect/click logs: kept up to 12 months, then deleted or fully anonymised.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We use infrastructure providers (such as our hosting platform) to run the site, who process data only on our instructions. When you click through to book a test, you leave our site and become subject to the destination provider's own privacy policy — we encourage you to read it before entering any personal or payment details.

International transfers

Because our hosting and infrastructure providers may operate servers in multiple countries, your data may be processed outside your home country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to withdraw consent at any time, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us — we'll respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Material changes affecting how we use your email will be communicated by email where we have one on file.
